I started learning about and working with wood at the very early age of 14 when I entered the Vocational High School of Wood Industry in Budapest, Hungary. After 5 years of learning the furniture designing and making processes, my eyes were opened to the opportunities available to me in my future.
I chose to continue my studies in Wood Science and Architecture at the University of Forest and Wood Engineering in Sopron, Hungary. Dating from 1735 under the Habsburg Empire, this is the oldest Technical University in the World, and it offered me a unique student experience that lead to me completing a Masters Degree. My studies included Microstructures of wood as cellulose and Lignin, Math, Chemical and Mechanical Equations and Reactions, European Windows and Door Systems and Central European Organic Wood Architecture.
After graduating University, I worked in Frankfurt, Germany for a year where I worked as a furniture maker.
After moving to New York City it became clear that there was a need for Organic Architecture.
This helped me make the decision to pursue my dream of ‘GardenArc’. In the summer of 2012, I finally started creating my 3 gazebo designs and built ‘The Arches’, ‘The Butterfly’ and ‘The Spa’.
